Berlin-based trio Dina Summer thrilled thousands of fans this year with their live shows in clubs and at festivals across Europe. After a busy 2024, Dina Summer are now back with a bang, announcing not only a new album but also dates in select cities. Around the release of their new album, “Girls Gang,” in January 2025, the trio will embark on another European tour.

Dina Summer is the joint project of Kalipo, one half of the legendary electro-punk band Frittenbude, and the Greek-German DJ and producer duo Local Suicide. Since the band’s formation five years ago, they have released their critically acclaimed debut album, “Rimini,” in 2022, which offered nostalgic retro-Italo-disco vibes, as well as the EPs “Who Am I” (2021) and “Hide & Seek” (2024). Dina Summer has since garnered attention with millions of streams, worldwide radio airplay, and numerous playlists. Her club edits have also found their way into the sets of renowned DJs such as Charlotte De Witte, The Hacker, Âme, Dixon, Joris Voorn, DJ Hell, Joyce Muniz, and Dubfire.

The Berlin-based indie-electro-wave trio delivers the title track, the dark synthpop song “Girls Gang,” in September 2024, the lead single from their second album, which will be released in January 2025 on Iptamenos Discos. The album explores timeless themes such as empowerment, alienation, transience, nostalgia, and relationships, and delves into a broader sonic palette ranging from new wave and post-punk to electroclash and synth- and indie-pop. Inspired by gothic icons like Morticia Addams, Lydia Deetz, Siouxsie Sioux, and Elvira, frontwoman Dina increasingly captivates listeners on the new tracks not only with her trademark spoken word but also with her vocals. Real bass lines, guitars, booming kicks, sharp snares, and catchy melodies and hooks find their way into our hearts and onto our feet. We are already looking forward to experiencing the new indie pop anthems and club hits live in 2025.
